A Vehicle notification was issued by Rental companies on the 20th May 2010 regarding a few changes that have been made to the prestige car rentals of the company.
According to this notification that has been sent out by the company to all its operators customers who opt for prestige car rentals will now have to undergo a more secure way of payment for the high end cars that have been given to them. This new update has been made keeping in mind the security of the cars that have been given out on rent by the car rental operator to its customers.
As per the new notification, effective immediately, all new reservations for Audi rentals (excluding the IXAR – Audi A3) will require two credit cards to secure the rental. The first credit card will be charged the rental amount and the second credit card will be charged a security bond of $100. If there are no additional charges, this security bond will be refunded to the customer upon the vehicle’s return. This change is applicable to all accounts that utilize the retail/web rates. It also states that only the IXAR (Audi A3) will be exempt from this new method of payment.
